ROCHESTER PARKS

A small, but growing compendium of all
the parks in the Greater Rochester Area.

Rochester NY is an absolutely amazing place to live, work, and play. Within a span of less than 30 miles, one can see farms, lakes, a river, waterfalls, the beach, and so much more. The diversity of both landscape and lifestyle is a treasure with which most Rochesterians are well-acquainted. Parks are a valuable asset in this landscape!

Most of us know what park is down the street. It’s the one that you rented for a birthday party, or where you play foursquare with the guys. Each park is unique–some are really amazing and some really don’t even deserve to be called parks.

On this site, you’ll find reviews, photos, videos, and other cool stuff all about the parks in Rochester NY. There are 19 towns in Monroe County that support over one hundred parks. The City of Rochester boasts over one hundred parks within its borders! The Monroe County park system has 23 parks.

“Once you travelled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.”
Pat Conroy
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Mark Twain
