General Information
One of Rochester’s largest parks at 1500 acres, Black Creek Park is located in the town of Chili.
Park Guidelines
From April to October, park is open 7:00am to 11:00pm. From November to March, Monday through Thursday, park is open 7:00am to 4:00pm. Friday through Sunday the park stays open from 7:00am to 11:00pm. Pets are allowed while on a leash. Carry-in carry-out is the rule of thumb for garbage.
Trails
Being such huge park, you can imagine there are quite a few trails at Black Creek Park. There are well over 8 miles of trails with a majority being well-marked. The attached map does provide an indication for starting and ending points and the general path of the trail. Work will be done by Rochester Parks to make sure these trails make it to Google Maps.
Maps
Monroe County does provide a map which you can look at here: Park Map

Deborah, thanks for your interest in Black Creek Park! Unfortunately this website is not the place to reserve facilities. If you go to this link: https://www.monroecounty.gov/apps/reservationapp.php you’ll be able to select Black Creek Park and then the lodge/pavilion that you’re interested in reserving.
Thanks again for checking us out 🙂
Where is the sledding hill at Black creek park? and is it marked out or do I have to walk a ways to get to it?
I believe if you take rt 531 towards Brockport and get off at the last exit, make a right then a left onto rt 31. follow it up about a mile or two. Up on the left is where you will turn into the park and the sledding hill is up on the left and the ski hill is up on the right.. I hope that helps…
sorry the info i gave for the sledding hill is to North Hampton park in spencerport which has a nice hill too. The black creek hill is off union street and up on the left hand side as well. take 531 to union street then turn left take this down till you past buffalo rd. keep going strait pass 490 then start to look for the entrance into the park on the right hand side take your right turn then take a left at the T. go up the hill on the left side..
First visit to your site – what a great resource!
We are Rochester locals as well who blog about dogs and love to feature local “dog friendly” parks. Black Creek has been a favorite of ours for several years now and can be fun year round. In fact we just posted about Snowshoeing in Black Creek Park this week.
I’ll be checking out your other articles for some new recommendations!
